In a very unfortunate turn of events, the leading character played by Brad Pit is abruptly informed that his wife has been murdered, by her murderer! In an emotional breakdown over the news, he shoots and murders the inmate in cold blood. The entire incident was filmed by a helicopter, in essence, guaranteeing his long life behind bars. This bloodlust for immediate vengeance was all part of the plot in order to prove the villain's religious philosophy. I believe however, this tragedy could have been avoided with a little non-lethal gadget we've all come to know and love/hate.
